Lead Medical Assistant

The Lead Medical Assistant will help the patients' experience, including the treatment of patients.  

Responsibilities: 

A Lead Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supervising the activities of fellow medical assistants within a clinical environment. Their key responsibilities include: 

• Collaborating with physicians and other staff to enhance patient care. 
• Managing patient flow to ensure the clinic operates efficiently and minimizes wait times. 
• Overseeing the cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of medical instruments and equipment. 
• Training medical assistants and front office staff 
• Greets patients and visitors 
• Initiates a triage for response by medical personnel 
• Registers, verifies, and updates patient records 
• Provides exceptional customer service, responds promptly and appropriately to customer needs 
• Maintaining office and medical supplies 
• Handles physician requests in a timely manner 
• Prepares and sanitizes rooms 
• Provide pleasant and comfortable environment 
• Make sure chart prep is completed at least a day prior including insurance verification 
• Constant communication with supervisor  

Knowledge and Skills: 

• Effective communication skills  
• Ability to multitask 
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of internet software, and Microsoft processing software 
• Detail oriented and organized 
• Flexible and reliable 
• Professional attitude, patience, and kindness in all interactions 
• Able to adapt to changes in workflows and situations in an effective and professional manner 
• Flexible 

Requirements

• Medical assistant certification 
• BLS certified 

Physical Requirements:  

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
• Prolonged periods of standing and bending. 
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
