The Senior Accountant oversees and manages the daily operations of several entities within the corporate accounting department.

 Duties and Responsibilities    

• Manage accounting operations including month and year-end process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, fixed asset activity and debt activity.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
• Coordinate and support annual audits.
• Suggest improvements to systems and procedures.
• Meet financial accounting objectives and reporting deadlines.
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
• Other projects and duties and assigned.

 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
•  5+ years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Yardi.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and accounting software/databases.
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
•  Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
