SUMMARY:

This Technician role will involve operation of the test wall on second shift at the Bayport Window Plant Manufacturing facility.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Submit Order Requests and conduct material handling as needed.
  • Install window units per installation methods. This includes building buck fixtures and ensuring nominal installs are plumb, level, and square.
  • Operates equipment/software to conduct the air/water/structural test.
  • Collects/records data and provides accurate test reports and manufacturing documents.
  • Investigative work required when product fails and partnership with OPD, Quality Engineering, and Operations to understand root cause.
  • Effective and timely communication of test results and improvement efforts to both operations and support teams through email and face-to-face communication.
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities.
  • Works with limited supervision.
  • Operate the Quattro unit lift, walkie rider and/or fork-lift.
  • Conduct general maintenance of test equipment and accessories.
  • Creates quality control and standard work documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years manufacturing experience and/or intermediate AW product knowledge.
  • Ability to operate the Quattro unit lift and fork truck or other power industrial truck.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to summarize and present data and findings both verbally and written to all levels of the company.
  • Ability to interpret and apply window quality specifications, including visual/aesthetic standards.
  • Demonstrate ability to read and understand drawings
  • Familiar with Microsoft Excel and PowerApps
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Desire to continue to grow and develop personally.
