Senior Systems Engineer

Tyto Athene is searching for a Senior Systems Engineer to support a law enforcement customer in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities:

• Support infrastructure systems on Windows-based platforms
• Support and maintain high availability, distributed, multi-clustered server infrastructure and systems
• Responsible for server infrastructure analysis, optimization, and capacity planning
• Technical writing/creation of formal documentation such as architecture diagrams, technical designs, and SOPs

Required:

• 8 years of general work experience and 6 years relevant “functional” experience.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of formal education and experience. Master’s Degree may be substituted for 4 years of general work experience.
• Experience with supporting, operating and maintaining a 24/7 mission-critical data center infrastructure
• Must have a working knowledge of:
  • Active Directory
  • DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP
  • Group Policy
  • Networking
  • Microsoft Server 2012-2019

Desired:

• Virtual Datacenter experience supporting VMware vCenter and ESXi environments
• Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) experience supporting Citrix environments
• Windows Server Administration
• Windows Desktop Administration
• Citrix Workspace and Apps
• Scripting languages (PowerShell, Python)
• Linux administration
• Cloud Providers such as AWS and Azure

Clearance:

• TS/SCI Clearance Required

Location:

• This role is located on client site in Washington DC

Compensation:

• Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $125K-$145K. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
