In this role, SVP Cyber Security, you will have global responsibility for proactive identification of both internal and external cybersecurity threats to Equifax data, infrastructure, and consumers; deployment and alignment of security controls and instrumentation in response to emerging threats; triage, forensics, and investigation in response to security incidents; and identification, prioritization, and communication of security vulnerabilities affecting Equifax data, infrastructure and personnel.

  • This position does not offer immigration sponsorship (current or future) including F-1 STEM OPT extension support. 

  • This position is located in Alpharetta, GA.  This resource will have to be local Atlanta and will work in our Alpharetta based Equifax location.   

  • Corporate Return To Office expectations:  Onsite weekly requirements - Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week. 

  • Travel required - should expect to travel internationally and nationwide as needed


What you will do

  • Global responsibility for proactive identification of both internal and external cybersecurity threats to Equifax data, infrastructure, and consumers; deployment and alignment of security controls and instrumentation in response to emerging threats; triage, forensics, and investigation in response to security incidents; and identification, prioritization, and communication of security vulnerabilities affecting Equifax data, infrastructure and personnel.

  • Is accountable for the performance and results of multiple teams emphasizing prioritized goals Partners with Finance and HR to build and sustain a bench for pivotal roles.

  • Directs the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems applying advanced critical thinking.

  • Makes decisions guided by functional strategies.

  • Executes functional business plans and contributes to the development of functional strategies.

  • Provides leadership and direction focused on related areas: Vulnerability Management, Detection & Response, Intelligence and the Red Team.

What experience you need 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Security, or similar field. 

  • 10+ years of advanced experience in cybersecurity, risk management, and/or related security leadership roles.

  • Extensive experience leading security teams within a global matrix organization with a proven ability to balance enterprise standards with localized execution.

  • Must have related industry experience.

  • Strong understanding of business operations, regulatory environments, and cyber risk.

  • Stakeholder management & conflict resolution strengths. Will have demonstrated ability to influence non-security stakeholders and leaders.

  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO, CIS), data protection and local compliance requirements (GDPR, CCPA, etc).

  • Understands cloud security, application security, and incident response/ threat management.
