The following position is to join our RTX Corporate Integrated Communications Team:

Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) is Raytheon’s premier supplier of advanced aerospace and defense products that enable a safer, more connected world. This business area provides customers with capabilities in radio frequency solutions; space, imaging and microelectronics; and electro-optical / infrared solutions. RTX Communications is seeking an outstanding candidate to develop and deliver communications strategies and content to support the business and growth goals of the portfolio. As a member of the Communications team, you will work with company leaders to help drive business results by providing strategic, world-class communications in support of company priorities.

What You Will Do:

  • Serve as the Communications point of contact and a key member of the leadership team supporting the Strategic Business Unit (APS) and its president.
  • Provide communications counsel to SBU president and SSBU leaders
  • Develop and lead an integrated communications campaign and cross-functional team to support the business and program objectives.
  • Educate COEs on business objectives, technologies and products.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive, integrated communications strategy – broad knowledge of internal/executive communications, marketing and media.
  • Develop communications deliverables (talking points, prep packages, posts, web features, speeches, holding statements, etc.) in partnership with COEs in support of communications and campaign strategies.
  • Track campaign progress and partner with cross-functional colleagues on metrics. Conduct regular business reviews with business and functional leadership to assess progress and course correct as necessary.
  • Identify and prepare business leaders for external speaking opportunities.
  • Partner with Media Relations to achieve a positive narrative in the media and leverage program news and milestones.
  • Facilitate media interviews and ensure participants are prepared.
  • Prepare and secure approvals for media statements/Q&As and talking points in partnership with the business leaders and Media Relations team.
  • Partner with the Brand, Advertising and Events team to develop and deliver effective assets and experiences as part of our communications campaigns.
  • Plan, attend and leverage industry trade shows and events to deliver results in support of business objectives and as part of campaigns – including media, social media, customer testimonials and meetings with communications counterparts to build and advance relationships.
  • Partner with the Digital Communications team to design and deploy content which generates strong engagement, externally and internally.
  • Develop relationships with Communications counterparts at customer organizations and partner companies, as well as members of the media and third-party influencers to raise awareness of and advocacy for the advantages of Raytheon, RTX and Advanced Products & Solutions.
  • Coordinate closely with international Communications to support the international expansion of the business, focusing on key programs and campaign priorities.
  • Approximately 10% travel to both domestic and international locations

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or
