About the role
Delta Solutions and Strategies is seeking a Financial Analyst (Journeyman) to potentially join our team in Washington DC. This position supports SAF/AQQ which directs, plans, and programs for development, procurement, and product support of Global Reach programs. Serves as the focal point within the HAF for Global Reach matters associated with integrated product life cycle management and facilitates Global Reach stakeholder collaboration in addressing lifecycle issues.

What you'll be doing:
- Typically performs all functional duties independently
- Analyze and develop recommendations and reports on the financial and budgeting aspects of the programs
- Track program cost and funding data through the PPBE cycles, review and interpret programmatic data, and prepare cost- related inputs for required reports
- Perform analyses of program funding for all PPBE phases and other budget exercises
- Track and assess resource allocation options and identify possible impacts of proposed funding positions
- Research and analyze program funding and execution trends data from sources such as the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and identify issues, recommend solutions
- Recommend changes to funding documentation to ensure standardization and compliance with requirements
- Update data in Air Force budget and execution plan preparation databases
- Track and research financial regulations and policies.
- Analyze budgeting and financial processes associated with Air Force PPBE
- Develop recommendations on budgeting and financial process improvement
- Review budget documentation material
- Support Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and other program cost-estimating efforts including disseminating information for international partners and Foreign Military Sales (FMS)
What you'll need:
- BA/BS; 6 years relevant work experience may be substituted for a BA/BS degree. Associate degree plus 4 years relevant work experience may be substituted for a BA/BS degree.
- Years of experience: 3-10
- Experience utilizing Air Force financial software, automated databases, standard office application software, and database tools. (Automated Budget Interactive Data Environment System (ABIDES), Commander’s Resource Integration System (CRIS), Integrated Budget Documentation & Execution System (IDECS), and Microsoft Office Suite)
- Secret Security Clearance
