Basic Function:

Serve as an administrator, under the supervision of the Program Director of Intensive Treatment Centers (ITTC). ITTC is a congregate model of care that provides a diverse array of integrated behavioral and mental health treatment and rehabilitative support services for children/youth who have significant and complex emotional and behavioral disorders and their families/caregivers, in partnership with DCF and the broader system of care. As well as overseeing day to day operations and managing program staff.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Assist the Program Director in hiring, orienting and evaluating all staff working in ITTC.
  2. Assist the Program Director in the development and training programs for all assigned staff and participate in the overall agency training program.
  3. Manage personnel related matters and record keeping for assigned staff including performance evaluations as assigned by Program Director.
  4. Responsible for programming and execution of recreational activities, supplemental therapies (music, art, animal-assisted etc.) and wellness practices.
  5. Provide clinical care to a minimum of two cases.
  6. Cover clinical care in the absence of the ITTC Clinician, or if a vacancy occurs.
  7. Serve as administrator for interdisciplinary teams overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of each child’s treatment plan.
  8. Oversee weekly payroll of all hourly ITTC staff. This would include monitoring overtime, watching for trends and ensuring time-off requests in Paycom are processed.
  9. Ensure that all programs and functions are in compliance with licensing regulations, monitoring standards, quality assurance and Counsel of Accreditation (COA) provisions.
  10. Work in conjunction with the ITTC Program Director to design and administer a staffing coverage pattern adequate to ensure supervision and the provision of activities appropriate to meet the children’s needs.
  11. Ensure staff are adequately trained in individualized therapeutic/behavioral approaches and intensive supervision in the structured setting in order to minimize youth pain-based behaviors related to functional deficits to ensure an optimal level of functioning across all domains-school, work and/or community settings.
  12. Supervise and develop the skills of the Supervisors, Child Care and clinical staff to ensure the daily safety and stability of the program environment, and quality individualize treatment planning, to include appropriate services that are trauma-focused, individualized, gender/ identity-sensitive, culturally and linguistically competent, and focus on engaging youth and families in treatment planning and services provided.
  13. In conjunction with the ITTC Program Director, oversee and ensure collaborative transition planning, including input from the youth, their family and other community linkages, the area office social worker and clinical team, and anyone else who may be helpful in planning the treatment for this youth.
  14. Supervise the program Supervisors, and direct care staff to make certain that standards of care are consistent with the established expectations and time frames and that the relationships with community agencies are optimal.
  15. Serve as a member of the Expanded Leadership Team, as well as the Leadership Team when assigned by the Program Director.
  16. Serve as an On-Call Administrator providing 24-hour administrative coverage as assigned.
  17. Review and, as needed, follow up on all incident reports and Use of Physical Intervention forms. Escalating when needed to the ITTC Program Director.
