Job Description

We are looking for a Merchandising Specialist to join our team.  This role will be responsible for coordinating and executing various tasks associated with purchase orders and pricing.   This role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.  The Merchandising Specialist will work closely with our buying team members to ensure information on product is flowing accurately and timely.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works directly with vendors to obtain updates on past due or partially shipped purchase orders
• Manage on order, issues, etc. by updating the arrival/backorder dates by PO or item in designated systems
• Maintain ecommerce site updates by updating sale/new flags and/or images, moving collections to sale, clearance or other categories as needed
• Place “at once” orders as needed to fill in carry over or fast selling product
• Manage drop ship orders
• Create new SKUs in system so information flows to content/creative timely
• Check competitive pricing to make sure all collections are priced accordingly and advise of necessary updates
• Close purchase orders as they are fully received in, continuously monitor as a result of partial receiving of orders
• Ensure all old styles in system are inactivated and no longer have inventory or on orders
• Update costs/retails in system when vendor change pricing (this does not include markdowns, only price changes and promos)
• Update gone or out of stock items that need to be changed

Qualifications

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

• 2+ years of experience in merchandising/production environment.
• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong time management, scheduling and organizational skills (multitask oriented)
• Demonstrate flexibility and work independently in a fast-paced business environment
• Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication
• Effective problem-solving ability and strong negotiation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft office and web-based tools
