Caregiver

McKay Creek Assisted Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assisted Living Caregiver to join our team. The caregiver will provide personalized care and support to residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for senior care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and dietary monitoring as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents.
• Help residents with mobility, including transferring from beds to wheelchairs.
• Monitor residents’ physical and mental health and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Support residents with toileting and personal hygiene needs.
• Assist with light housekeeping duties, such as laundry and room tidying.
• Follow all facility policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Previous experience in caregiving, home health, or assisted living (preferred but not required).
• Ability to lift, move, and support residents as needed.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic understanding of elderly care and safety procedures.
