General Description:

The Associate Director, Global Medical Affairs Program Management Office (GMA PMO), will partner with the Director, GMA PMO to support the global hematology franchise. Serving as a Franchise Program Manager, this role leads the planning, coordination, and execution of key Medical Affairs initiatives.

Working closely with Global Hematology Medical Directors and Franchise Leadership, the Associate Director will drive major deliverables including advisory boards, integrated evidence plans, thought leader engagement strategies, and launch planning and budgets. This role also develops tracking tools and reporting to monitor progress and ensure alignment across cross-functional teams.

As a core member of the PMO, the Associate Director will lead additional initiatives to enhance processes and improve operational efficiency across Global Medical Affairs.

This position will report to the Director, GMA PMO.

Essential Functions of the job:

  • Lead cross-functional planning and execution of global medical initiatives.
  • Drive development and tracking of integrated evidence plans and medical strategies.
  • Facilitate alignment with key stakeholders and ensure communication across teams.
  • Develop and manage integrated project plans, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities.
  • Lead effective team meetings, including agenda development, documentation of decisions and action items, and tracking of follow-ups in accordance with project management best practices.
  • Develop and deliver clear, high-impact presentations to communicate medical strategies, plans, and progress to stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the PMO by identifying efficiencies, sharing best practices, and implementing standardized processes and performance metrics across Global Medical Affairs.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate policies, compliance standards, and applicable healthcare laws and regulations.

Computer Skills:  

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word, Teams) is required. Proficiency (or familiarity with an ability to learn quickly) in Smartsheet is required.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years, or Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience in drug development within academia, consulting, pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. 
  • 5+ years of experience in project or program management.
  • Demonstrated understanding of hematology/oncology landscape (preferred).
  • Experience supporting Global Medical Affairs activities, including advisory boards, medical planning, or launch readiness.
  • Strong proficiency in project and program management tools and systems (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint), including development of dashboards, trackers, and reporting.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience with integrated evidence generation planning highly desirable.

Other Qualifications:

  • PMP Certification a plus

Travel: 

Work-related travel will be less than 10%. Over-time and weekend travel may be required on occasion.

Salary Range: $148,900.00 - $198,900.00 annually
