XOPS is seeking a Lead Product Designer to join our team and work in our office in San Jose. In this role, the Lead Product Designer will straddle strategic leadership and hands-on design execution, creating sophisticated experiences for complex B2B workflows while mentoring junior designers and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You'll be instrumental establishing design processes that can scale with our growing organization.Â

- Leadership & StrategyÂ
- Serve as a design thought leader, advocating for user-centered design principles across the organizationÂ
- Partner with product management to translate business requirements and user needs into compelling product experiencesÂ
- Establish and refine design processes that balance speed, quality, and scalabilityÂ
- Mentor junior designers and provide constructive feedback to elevate the overall design qualityÂ
- Collaborate with engineering leadership to ensure design feasibility and quality implementationÂ
- Design ExecutionÂ
- Lead end-to-end design process from problem definition through research, ideation, prototyping, and implementationÂ
- Create sophisticated solutions for complex B2B workflows, particularly in infrastructure/system management contextsÂ
- Design intuitive interfaces for technical users with varying levels of expertiseÂ
- Create high-fidelity prototypes to validate concepts with users and stakeholdersÂ
- Cross-Functional CollaborationÂ
- Partner closely with product management to define requirements and success metricsÂ
- Work with engineering teams to ensure faithful implementation of design solutionsÂ
- Collaborate with customer success and sales to gather insights about user pain points and needsÂ
- Present design concepts to executive leadership and key stakeholders, articulating design rationales clearlyÂ

RequirementsÂ
- 6+ years of product design experience, with at least 3 years focused on B2B SaaS productsÂ
- Proven experience leading design for complex technical products or platformsÂ
- Experience working in both startup and enterprise environmentsÂ
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design process and systems thinkingÂ
- Experience creating and managing design systemsÂ
- Track record of shipping products used by technical professionalsÂ
- Expertise in modern design tools (Figma) and rapid prototyping techniquesÂ
- Experience mentoring junior designers or leading design teamsÂ

- Background in designing for infrastructure, DevOps, IT management, or problem management platformsÂ
