About the role

Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist, the Medication History Pharmacy Technician coordinates the medication history assessment with the nursing team. In addition to these specialized responsibilities, the medication history pharmacy technician will also be able to function as a standard pharmacy technician assisting pharmacists in preparing and distributing drugs, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records.

Minimum Education:
High school diploma or equivalent education.
Completion of Accredited Pharmacy Technician Certificate Program

Minimum Experience/Knowledge:
• Minimum of three years of Pharmacy Technician experience required.
• Previous retail (outpatient) pharmacy experience including prescription transcription duties highly preferred.
• Trained in general use of pharmacy computer systems

Required License/Certification:
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the California State board of Pharmacy required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification preferred.

The hourly rate range for this position is $25 - $33.
