What you need to know about the role
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our PayPal Server SDK team. This role requires a hands-on leader with a deep technical background and a passion for building new products and providing the best experience possible for our developer community.

Meet Our Team
We are the PayPal Server SDK team-Our Server SDKs have recently been rebuilt from the ground up and are currently in pubic beta.

Job Description:

Your day to day

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for PayPal’s Server SDKs to increase adoption and engagement.
  • Identify and analyze industry trends to keep the SDKs are competitive and innovative.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of our PayPal Server SDKs.
  • Ensure the SDKs are scalable, reliable, secure, and provide an excellent developer experience.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the external developer community.
  • Gather feedback to continuously improve SDK offerings and address developer needs.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of engineers.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricity.
  • Define and monitor KPIs to measure the success of the Server SDKs across six different languages.
  • Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Represent PayPal at industry events, conferences, and within developer communities.
  • Advocate for PayPal’s vision and establish the company as a leader in the developer ecosystem
     
  • What do you need to bring-
  • BS in Computer Science or related experience.
  • 8+ years related industry experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in managing high performing teams.
  • Experience in managing SDK engineers for a consumer facing product.
  • Experience in overseeing the design development and deployment of Server SDKs.
  • Passion for helping our external Developer Community.
