About the role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Revenue Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role will be instrumental in ensuring accurate revenue recognition, maintaining compliance with ASC 606, and providing critical financial analysis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of revenue accounting principles, experience with contract review, audit support, and day-to-day accounting tasks. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a growing organization and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will:
- Apply ASC 606 principles to analyze and interpret customer contracts, ensuring accurate revenue recognition.
- Assist with the resolution of audit findings and recommendations.
- Perform revenue calculations and adjustments, including allocation of transaction prices, determination of performance obligations, and recognition of revenue over time.
- Review customer contracts for revenue-related terms and conditions, identifying potential revenue recognition implications.
- Collaborate with sales, legal, and other departments to ensure contract compliance and accurate revenue recognition.
- Perform monthly and quarterly revenue reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for revenue fluctuations.
- Prepare journal entries and other accounting documentation related to revenue.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Help implement process improvements by identifying weaknesses in the close process
