About The Team
This position will play a key role on the Financial Reporting team and will report to the Manager, Financial Reporting. As Life360 continues to grow organically and through strategic expansion, the Financial Reporting team is taking on increased scope and complexity across SEC reporting and technical accounting. We are seeking a Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting to support and enhance key aspects of our financial reporting and technical accounting processes.

About the Job
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically strong Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting with a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role will support key aspects of internal and external reporting, including SEC reporting, technical accounting research and analysis, and special projects. The position will also support month-end close for technical accounting areas, including stock-based compensation and the capitalization of internally developed software. This role will partner closely with members of our accounting, finance, and legal teams, as well as external auditors.
The US-based salary range for this position is $102,500 to $150,000 We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary - therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.
What You’ll Do
- Play a key role in the preparation and review of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, as well as investor communications such as press releases, investor presentations, and other investor conference materials, in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC rules and regulations
- Prepare financial statements, footnote disclosures, and Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A), maintaining complete tie-out documentation in compliance with the Company’s SOX controls
- Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits
- Prepare GAAP and SEC disclosure checklists to support complete and accurate reporting
- Contribute to the preparation of internal financial reporting packages, including performing financial and trend analyses and drafting related commentary
- Support corporate governance reporting processes relating to equity
- Partner effectively and proactively with Legal, Accounting, Tax, Strategic Finance, and Investor Relations on financial reporting matters
- Draft technical accounting memorandums and provide guidance on U.S. GAAP matters, including internally developed software, adoption of new accounting standards, impairment analyses, valuations, and the accounting impact of new agreements
- Update internal control documentation and support the Company’s SOX compliance efforts
- Own month-end close activities for technical accounting areas, including stock-based compensation and capitalization of internally developed software
- Assist with special projects as needed
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of relevant industry and financial reporting experience; Big 4 public accounting experience preferred
- CPA or similar professional designation required
