Directs the daily operations of assigned clinical practices by setting objectives, planning, staffing and directing activities. Ensures efficient, economic and quality performance to support ambulatory care.
Consults with and advises administrators and Practice Managers of problems related to operations. Supervises managers, supervisors, and staff within the designated network of practices. Collaborates with practice management, department administrators, and department chairmen in developing the strategic plan for the practice. Collaborates with key stakeholder to ensures compliance with the mission, goals, policies and procedures for the practices. Recommends, develops and updates long- and short-range ambulatory care plans to support patient satisfaction and the philosophy/goals of the practices. Assists in interpreting and carrying out policies including policies related to patient satisfaction.Ensures patient satisfaction is a priority with all staff members. Prepares practice budgets in conjunction with department administrators. Coordinates with the administration, medical staff and other practice personnel in the monitoring of medical activities to ensure fulfillment of needs for quality health care. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Relationship Building: Ability to build and sustain new and existing relationships with clinicians, staff, patients, and other key stakeholders. Project Management: Ability to lead operational initiatives to meet or exceed service standards and expectations in assigned department(s) and/or across multiple areas in a timely and respectful manner. Business Acumen: Demonstrates a clear understanding of all areas of the business (education, research, clinical care) � customers (students, trainees, faculty, community), resources, trends, new advances � and uses skills in planning, prioritization, decision-making, and resource allocation to drive desired results. Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including interpersonal and presentation skills. Knowledge in academic medicine and ability to engage and collaborate with physicians is preferred.
