Nurse for FT position in Specialty services at the NYU Student Health Center (Washington Square):  We are seeking a RN to provide direct, individual patient care and education to a diverse University community in accordance with established standards and medical ethics.  The NYU Student Health Center serves 50-55,000 students on the NYC campuses.  Nurses in all units work collaboratively with providers and other staff to provide primary and specialty care, vaccinations, and other direct health care services.  The Specialty nurse is responsible for rooming patients, performing lab tests, supporting providers, educating students, and assisting with all unit workflows.  Specialists in the unit include dermatology, gastroenterology, sports medicine, physiatry, neurology, and endocrinology.  We support and encourage top of license functioning, and seek applicants who are keen on teamwork and service with a focus on quality and cooperation.  

Qualifications

Required Education:New York State RN licensePreferred Education:BSNRequired Experience:2 years experience as a registered nurse. Phlebotomy.  Preferred Experience:

Experience in an ambulatory environment and/or college health.  

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:BLS certification

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $85,000 to USD $95,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
