About the role

Job Summary

As an Systems Integration Engineer, you will play a critical role in optimizing and streamlining our organization's business processes by managing and enhancing the integration and data flow within our ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), MES (Manufacturing Execution System), PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), QMS (Quality Management System), and WMS (Warehouse Management System) systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless flow of data and information across these systems to support our business operations.

SoLa Impact is a real estate private equity firm with a double bottom line strategy focused on preserving, rehabbing, and building high-quality affordable housing in Black and brown communities. SoLa is Southern California's largest for-profit affordable housing developer and is currently in construction on over 2,000 affordable housing units across Southern California. SoLa currently owns and manages over $1.2 billion of multifamily assets, almost all of which are in low-income, Black and brown communities.

SoLa's affiliate, MODEL/Z is reinventing multifamily housing creation by building the first and only standardized modular housing factory. The MODEL/Z is a comprehensive manufacturing system designed, engineered, and built to consistently produce a high-quality, low-cost, net-zero ready, and most importantly, standardized, modular housing product. MODEL/Z is a Black-owned and operated business based in Southern California that will deliver between 1,000 – 1,500 modular housing units per year by 2025. Requirements

  • Implementation and Integration Management:
    • Manage deployments, implementations and maintenance with 3rd party vendors
    • Develop and maintain integration solutions to connect ERP, MES, PLM, QMS, and WMS systems.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather integration requirements and design efficient data exchange processes.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot integration issues, ensuring data accuracy and system reliability.
  • Business Process Development:
    • Develop and establish business processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
    • Design and implement streamlined workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Ensure that business processes align with industry best practices and compliance standards.
  • Data Flow Management:
    • Administrate PLM, ERP and MES Enterprise Software Tools and Data Management
    • Manage the flow of data between different systems, ensuring data integrity and security.
    • Implement data transformation and mapping to meet specific system requirements.
    • Create data migration strategies when transitioning to new systems or versions.
  • System Enhancement:
    • Work with software vendors and internal teams to upgrade and enhance ERP, MES, PLM, QMS, and WMS systems.
    • Customize system configurations to meet evolving business needs.
    • Stay updated on system advancements and recommend relevant upgrades.
  • Documentation and Training:
    • Create comprehensive documentation for integration processes, configurations, and best practices.
    • Generate Business Intelligence reports and analyze data.
    • Provide training and support to end-users and colleagues to ensure system proficiency.

Education, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience in system integration, particularly with ERP, MES, PLM, QMS, and WMS systems.
  • Strong knowledge of integration technologies, such as API, ETL, and middleware solutions.
  • Understanding of web application integrations using SOAP/RestAPIs calls in JSON/XML formats
  • Familiarity with programming languages and scripting (e.g., Python, Java, SQL).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Certification in relevant systems or integration platforms is a plus.
