Manager, Supply Chain Production Tooling Management

The Supply Chain - Production Tooling Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the end-to-end management of production tooling within Lucid. This individual ensures seamless coordination, efficient processes, and effective communication with suppliers and internal teams. The focus is on optimizing tooling processes, driving cost savings, and maintaining high-quality standards.
You Will:
- Oversee the entire supply chain production tooling process, from initial quoting to final delivery.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all production tooling-related communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Lead and coordinate work tasks for the tooling team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and program & product costing.
- Liaise with suppliers to collect all necessary information for tooling assets tagging.
- Manage all Lucid-owned production tooling information.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of tooling assets.
- Lead the technical development of the Tooling Asset management solution's product roadmap.
- Align the roadmap with Lucid's strategic goals and objectives.
- Work closely with cost estimation teams to achieve year-end savings targets.
- Collaborate with global sourcing managers to align tooling information requirements.
- Work with supplier quality engineers to ensure that tooling tagging requirements are met by suppliers.
- Conduct on-site audits at supplier facilities to verify tooling costs quoted and quality.
- Create and maintain a tracking system related to program milestones for production tooling.
- Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of tooling-related tasks.
- Support supplier negotiations to secure competitive pricing for tooling components.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in supply chain tooling assets management.
- Drive initiatives to enhance overall efficiency, leveraging tools and technologies.
You Bring:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Business, MBA, Technical, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Management, Computer Science, Education, or Mathematics.
- 8 years of experience in Asset and Tooling Management.
- Proficiency in Excel , Smartsheet , SAP , ERP.
- Solid understanding of supplier product lead-time and supply chain management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Relevant experience in supply chain management, program management, or related roles.
- Exposure to digital distribution projects is advantageous.
This is a full-time onsite Monday-Friday role based in our new location Southfield, MI or at our headquarters in Newark, CA.
