Senior Quality Engineer, Client Management

As a Quality Engineer on Ridgeline’s Client Management team, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our complex, customer-facing solutions are reliable, intuitive, and high-quality. You’ll be hands-on in crafting comprehensive test plans, proactively identifying issues before they reach our users, and representing the voice of the customer throughout the development lifecycle. Working closely with cross-functional partners, you’ll contribute to a dynamic, fast-moving team with a strong focus on collaboration and accountability. Our engineering team embraces cutting-edge tools and methodologies—including AI technologies like ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot—to maximize efficiency and drive innovation.

What will you do?

• Define and execute automated testing strategies to maintain a high bar for quality across our Client Management services
• Develop and manage detailed test plans that address both functional and non-functional requirements
• Exercise creative problem-solving to simulate real-world customer behaviors and uncover potential issues
• Contribute business domain insights and technical expertise to a tightly integrated cross-functional team
• Engage early in the development lifecycle, from requirement analysis to design reviews and post-release validation
• Develop end-to-end tests using Cypress or Playwright and API tests with tools such as Karate
• Collaborate closely with engineering and product management teams to align on goals and ensure shared accountability
• Leverage observability tools like Datadog to monitor and improve system performance from a quality perspective
• Demonstrate a continuous learning mindset, keeping up with the latest technologies and testing methodologies
• Participate in a culture centered around curiosity, transparency, and shared success
• Explores new automation best practices and tools, configures test tool integrations 
• Drive continuous improvement by being data-driven

Desired Skills and Experience

• A degree in computer science or a similar field is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 4+ years of experience in quality engineering or a similar role
• Proven experience in building and launching automated test suites within a CI/CD environment
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Gherkin, or Java
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks like Cypress, Playwright, and Karate
• Working knowledge of AWS cloud services and observability tools like Datadog
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and the software development lifecycle
• Ability to think like a user and test from multiple customer personas and perspectives
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for solving complex problems
