About the role:
As a Senior Performance QA Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our fintech platform operates at peak efficiency, handling high-throughput transactions with minimal latency. Your work will directly impact system scalability, reliability, and user experience by designing and implementing performance testing strategies from the ground up.
You will build a leading-edge performance testing framework from scratch, integrate it into CI/CD pipelines, and set ambitious benchmarks that drive our platform's growth. You’ll work with top-tier development teams to identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks, ensuring our systems can scale with the demands of a fast-moving fintech landscape.
Join us remotely, you can be located anywhere around CET time zone, as our works is 100% offline. The position is full-time.

In this role, you will:
- Design, implement, and maintain an automated performance testing framework for high-throughput, low-latency financial systems
- Conduct performance testing (load, stress, scalability, endurance, and spike testing) to ensure system stability under real-world conditions
- Analyze system performance, detect bottlenecks (CPU, memory, network), and suggest optimizations
- Profile and optimize API latency to meet high-performance computing (HPC) standards
- Ensure resilience and high availability (99.99%+ uptime) by testing failure recovery mechanisms
- Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation
- Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and SRE teams to align performance goals and optimize system performance
- Set up monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry) for real-time performance insights
- Conduct regression testing daily and post-release to detect performance degradations
What we expect from you:
- 5+ years of experience in performance testing, automation, and system optimization
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, fault tolerance, and high availability
- Hands-on experience with performance testing asynchronous workflows, messaging queues, and event-driven architectures
- Proficiency in scripting & automation using Java, Groovy, Kotlin, or Scala
- Expertise in profiling & debugging API latency and system performance
- Experience in financial services / HFT / algorithmic trading is a big plus
- Familiarity with backtesting frameworks or market simulations is a significant advantage
- Knowledge of chaos testing and failure injection testing (Bonus)

Salary: PLN 18,000 - 25,000/EUR 3,700 - 5,800 (Full-Time Independent Contractor Agreement)
