About the role

This is a remote position.

Schedule:Monday to Friday, flexible between 9AM to 5PM SHERMAN OAKS, CA

Number of working hours per week: 20 Hours

We’re seeking a creative and strategic Social Media Specialist join our client’s podcast team on a part-time basis. In this role, you’ll be responsible for crafting and executing a compelling social media strategy that amplifies the podcast’s reach and engages with listeners across multiple platforms. You’ll work closely with the podcast host to create content that resonates with the audience, maintains the established brand aesthetic, and drives growth. This position offers the perfect blend of creative freedom and strategic thinking, allowing you to showcase your skills in content creation, community management, and social media analytics.

Responsibilities

Create and edit engaging social media content derived from bi-weekly podcast episodes
Develop captivating captions and generate innovative content ideas that align with the podcast’s brand and message
Manage and schedule posts across various social media platforms to maintain a consistent and active online presence
Utilize Canva to design visually appealing graphics that adhere to the podcast’s established aesthetic
Collaborate with the podcast host to ensure content strategy aligns with overall business goals
Use Notion for efficient content management, review, and approval processes
Analyze social media metrics and adjust strategies to optimize engagement and growth
Stay up-to-date with social media trends and best practices in the podcasting industry
Assist in the transition process, learning from the current social media assistant to ensure continuity

Requirements

Proven experience in social media management, preferably in the podcasting or digital media industry (APPLICANTS MUST SUBMIT PORTFOLIOS)
Strong proficiency in content creation, editing, and curation for various social media platforms
Excellent written communication skills with the ability to craft engaging, on-brand captions
Creative mindset with a keen eye for visually appealing content
Proficiency in using Canva for graphic design
Familiarity with content management tools like Notion (training provided if needed)
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively in a remote environment
Strong analytical skills to interpret social media metrics and adjust strategies accordingly
Passion for podcasting and staying current with industry trends
Flexibility to adapt to the podcast’s release schedule and occasional time-sensitive tasks
