Responsibilities

This position will support most aspects of the income tax compliance and tax accounting cycles through collaboration with Tax Department peers to address tax issues and meet organizational objectives. Responsibilities include assisting with the maintenance of general ledger balances for selected tax accounts including related reconciliations, assisting with the maintenance of tax books within the fixed asset accounting system, gathering data for and assisting with the tax provision and return workpapers, preparing of federal and state level returns including estimates and extensions, supporting tax research and special planning projects as needed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in accounting
• Excellent organizational, computer and communication skills
• CPA or CPA eligible
• 1-2 years of public or corporate tax experience

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

• Master of Taxation
• Data analytical skills using Microsoft Excel and/or other software

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screen. Must be able to lift 15lbs, have finger/wrist/arm mobility, and finger dexterity. Must be able to work a flexible schedule shared by other department members. Ability to work after hours or on weekends as needed.
