Job Description

As Business Controller for Sales & Warehouse Operations, you are responsible to secure financial and analytical needs of the APAC Region, with a focus on cost improvement.  In addition, you will support regional controller with financial and quantitative insights and ensure financial reporting accuracy and review results & KPIs with each local Distribution Centres to achieve the best outcome for our customers.

To monitor and provide regular reports on performance across cost, service and sustainability, and get transparency and provide guidance from a financial perspective. You are the owner of the regional dashboards and reports, also leading the work to develop tools and enable a data driven way to identify trends, challenges and opportunities in APAC DCs.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Drive profitable and sustainable growth:
    • Together with our 3 sub-regions warehouse operation managers to maximise profit and efficiency for both short and mid-term. Manage and own the full warehousing P/L.
    • Manage and develop performance in a cost-conscious way through accurate planning, activities prioritisation and optimisation.
       
  • Be a strategic partner:
    • Develop the framework for enabling warehouse team to take informed decisions and support them to reach our goals, whilst improving the overall result of all of our 17 DCs. Be an inspiring and communicative leader who builds engagement.
    • Close communication with both regional central controllers and local controllers to achieve the same ambition with profitability mindset.
    • Core partner to all 3 warehouse operations managers to drive APAC common direction; conduct analysis and closely follow-up individual markets, including capability to identify cross-market  synergies.
    • Evaluate, analyse, and drive improvement activities cross-functionally relating to cost savings, project controlling support and all procurement processes.
    • Act as stakeholder and consultant in warehouse commercial processes including e.g. vendor selection and vendor data analysis.
       
  • Secure correct and timely administration:
    • Ensure precision of accounting and finance activities – secure robust and accurate financial budget and forecasts. Deliver an accurate budget and quarterly forecast for all warehouse costs according to company’s financial deadline.
    • Analyse monthly results and follow-up on data fluctuations with action plan for cost and operational improvement.
    • Monitor the accuracy of all customer related KPIs to support decision making for future actions to improve customer experience.
    • Develop new data models, Power BI reports, perform analyses to support ad-hoc reporting requests.
    • Identify, initiate and drive various data quality investigations and improvements across APAC region.
    • Act as main point of contact for KPIs and financial data related matters with regional, global as well as sales organsiation.

  • Prior experience in both retail and online warehouse operations will be an advantage
  • Strong track record of setting clear goals with plans and actions on how to achieve them.
  • Great with numbers and is passionate for driving results.
  • Deep knowledge of controlling, logistics analysis, finance related software and some regional understanding.
  • Good understanding of cross-functional departments and collaboration with local and regional stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen, problem-solving and analytical mindset.
