Job Description

The Extreme Event Solutions team within Verisk is looking for an enthusiastic, versatile and collaborative Manager to join our Consulting and Client Service Team. The mission of our team is to build client relationships, grounded in a deep understanding of Verisk Extreme Event Solutions’ products and individual client workflows, to meet the needs of our clients’ modeling operations (pricing, underwriting, rating, ERM, regulatory reporting, model validation, transferring risk and more).  Insurers, reinsurers and brokers across the globe rely on our software, models and acclaimed client support to understand their risk and make critical decisions that drive forward their business and protect them from catastrophic losses.  Our department’s comprehensive support and expertise allow clients to gain maximal value from the products and services they license from Verisk.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Direct a team or an individual to perform sophisticated risk analyses using Verisk’s cutting-edge technology for insurers, brokers, reinsurers and other financial intermediaries in the internationally expanding business of extreme event risk management
  • Ensure team members respond to client questions in a timely manner and help bring them to a speedy and accurate resolution by working collaboratively with our internal teams
  • Manage and support a team to design and deliver trainings to new and existing clients across the full range of our solutions to an audience with mixed experience levels
  • Perform a wide of range of risk analyses in support of consulting projects, client support, and internal initiatives
  • Communicate directly with clients to develop project timelines and manage deliverable expectations
  • Establish and utilize best practices for case handling, client support, and projects for a team of individuals
  • Develop strong relationships with model users and consumers of model results working with our clients, learn their workflows and objectives, and provide proactive service to help them avoid pitfalls and to leverage our solutions optimally
  • Lead the on-boarding efforts for new clients in close coordination with our internal teams as needed.  This includes training, workflow design, the usage and interpretation of model results, and addressing challenges related to adopting or transitioning to Verisk
  • Work closely with our business development and senior management teams to develop and maintain client-specific performance objectives
  • Support model and product change management efforts when model updates or new features are introduced in our software
  • Provide input to our internal teams regarding the evolution of our products based on client feedback and your internal usage of our products.  Remain engaged with the internal teams through feature design, development and release
  • Support our business development team in sales efforts in a technical and a pre-sales support capacity
  • Represent Verisk in a range of forums including at our conferences, industry events, media opportunities and one-on-one meetings
  • Serve as an ambassador of Verisk to our clients and prospects

Qualifications

  • Ability to manage and coach a team
  • Proactive problem-solving skills
  • Data analysis using SQL, MS Access, R or equivalent
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Detailed and Results orientated
  • Client Service focused
  • Knowledge of statistics and business
  • Actuarial or underwriting industry experience a plus
  • Knowledge of Verisk Software is a plus

Requirements:

  • 4 to 8 years’ experience in consulting or insurance fields
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, actuarial science, engineering, and business or computer science.
