The Team:
The Tasmanian Clinical Genetics Service (TCGS) is a multidisciplinary team including clinical geneticists, genetic counsellors, research staff and allied health and administrative support staff. Together, the TCGS team delivers a Statewide service based at the RHH which manages general and cancer genetics referrals for paediatric, adult and prenatal cases. Clinicians at TCGS see people across Tasmania by telehealth and in person in Hobart and in outreach clinics to the North and North West of the State.
The Operations Manager will provide high level expertise in the operational leadership for the administrative, planning and service delivery aspects of the Tasmanian Clinical Genetics Service (TCGS), working in collaboration with the medical and allied health leadership positions of the TCGS.
You will need to:
- Manage the performance and development of the administrative team and coordinate the business operations, including providing day to day financial, human and physical resource management and oversee all operational and nonclinical aspects of the TCGS in collaboration with the clinical leadership team.
- Provide leadership and specialist advice on strategic planning, business planning and management of procurement processes including preparation of Ministerial correspondence.
- In partnership with the Stream Business Manager, provide reports and advice on the operational performance of the TCGS including the service KPIs, providing high-level advice to support cost centre management, revenue maximisation, projections, purchasing functions and financial delegations.

Details of appointment:
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $128,102 to $134,832 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
