As a Senior JavaScript Engineer, you will primarily be responsible for the research, prototyping, development, testing, and deployment of web scraping tools and solutions. You will need to leverage your extensive knowledge of Http, HTML and JavaScript to lead initiatives, develop innovative solutions, and tackle complex technical challenges.

As a Senior JavaScript Engineer, you will primarily be responsible for the research, prototyping, development, testing, and deployment of web scraping tools and solutions. You will need to leverage your extensive knowledge of Http, HTML and JavaScript to lead initiatives, develop innovative solutions, and tackle complex technical challenges.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Prototype, design, develop, and maintain high-performance and reliable web scraping solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine requirements for data extraction projects
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems to adapt to ever-changing environments
- Research new solutions and stay up to date with the latest approaches of the web scraping community to continuously enhance and optimize existing solutions
- Mentor other developers, helping them enhance their skills and understanding of JavaScript and web scraping
In order to be successful in this you will need:
- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in software engineering
- Proficient understanding of JavaScript, particularly in the context of webpage structures
- Experience in web scraping technologies and methodologies and libraries
- Understanding HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to navigate through websites dynamically
- Deep understanding of HTTP and HTTPS protocols
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Rapid prototyping skills with a proactive, self-drive mindset
- Excellent problem-solving skills
Plusses:
- Experience with one or more scraping tools and providers like Apify, Diffbot, Bright Data, or Oxylabs
- Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages
- Experience with cloud-based platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus
