WFPC needs graduate students with interest in food systems for literature review related to alternative proteins
The World Food Policy Center (WFPC) in the Sanford School of Public Policy seeks at least one graduate research assistant (GRA) to assist with literature reviews and landscape analysis on a project focused on alternative proteins.
The WFPC seeks candidates that have experience in one of the two areas: 1) summarizing scholarly literature with structured outputs that could inform academic outputs ; or 2) conducting landscape analysis of relevant stakeholders and industry trends.
The project is focused on alternative proteins and cellular agriculture. The exact scope is still being determined, but an interest in sustainable food systems would be beneficial. Preference will be given to students who can be available for the remainder of the academic year (May 2025). The project is scheduled to last five years that will encompass multiple phases.
The WFPC anticipates much of the work will be conducted remotely. Weekly meetings with WFPC research staff will be expected via Zoom or in person. Strong time management and communication skills are critical. The WFPC will pay the Sanford School rate ($16.75/hour). The time commitment is expected to be 10-19.99 hour per week.
Please reach out to WFPC research manager Jack Daly (jack.daly@duke.edu) with CVs and introductory emails if interested.
