Could you be the full-time onsite Project Engineering Manager in West Mifflin, PA, US we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your project engineering and leadership expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated, innovative, and collaborative teammates. You'll lead cross-functional train development activities and be the engineering representative among the project core team to reach its QCD commitment. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Procurement, Industrialization, Services), manage technical risks & define mitigation plans, and much more.

We’ll look to you for:

• Representing the technical authority in front of the customer and interfacing directly for major topics,

• Ensuring Train level Development Work Packages meet Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) commitments,

• Reporting on product development progress and escalating issues to the project level,

• Setting and allocating technical and QCD objectives to the project development team,

• Coordinating and monitoring cross-functional activities and deliverables,

• Making key cross-functional or technical decisions and managing trade-offs,

• Representing the design authority to ensure product liability and compliance with Alstom standards,

• Managing technical risks and defining mitigation plans,

• Interacting with sites and métiers management to secure product development needs at train level

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical or electrical preferred),

• Experience or understanding of project engineering in a multi-cultural environment,

• Knowledge of product development, project management and leadership principles,

• Strong communication skills and the ability to represent technical authority in front of customers,

• Ability for problem-solving and efficient decision-making in complex environments,

• Strong leadership and team-building skills to federate teams on technical orientations to reach QCD targets,

• Demonstrated capacity to lead cross-functional activities involving numerous and various stakeholders,

• Ability to manage technical risks and define mitigation plans
