We are seeking a Senior Performance Test Engineer who will be responsible for defining and implementing performance test strategies to include automating, configuring and executing performance testing activities independently and under the direction and guidance of a Performance Test Lead for a broad range of applications and platforms. Planning activities involve working closely with cross functional team members to define repeatable and scalable performance testing activities within the organization is the goal.
Duties and Responsibilities:
At least 5 years of experience planning, designing, programming, configuring and executing performance tests required
At least 4 years of experience planning and developing test strategies, designing performance test scenarios, and analyzing performance test results
Experience designing and developing performance, load, stress, scalability, and reliability tests at system, sub-system, and component levels
Ability to understand systems at multiple layers and functionally decompose systems for performance analysis
Participate in the continuous improvement of performance testing activities including automation, framework, and methodology improvements
Knowledge and experience of testing practices as applied to unit, functional, integration, and system level testing activities
Experience with Functional and Performance testing tools, to include HP ALM Performance Center Edition & LoadRunner, Rational Test Workbench, MS Web Test or similar tools
Proven programming experience with C, Java, C#, Python, JavaScript or similar languages

Individual must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and have demonstrated good problem solving and analytical skills.
Proven ability to work effectively as a team member and can work with limited or minimal supervision on projects.
The candidate needs to have attention to detail and the ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects.
This person must be a flexible, self-motivated team player.
The candidate must possess strong communications skills.
Open to learn and migrate to new technologies and processes.
Proven ability to follow priorities and timelines.
Is clear about one’s own and the company’s goals and focuses on seeing the work through to completion. Consistently set ambitious performance and work standards for oneself, seeking to achieve standards of excellence beyond requirements.
