Senior Performance Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Performance Test Engineer who will be responsible for defining and implementing performance test strategies to include automating, configuring and executing performance testing activities independently and under the direction and guidance of a Performance Test Lead for a broad range of applications and platforms.  Planning activities involve working closely with cross functional team members to define repeatable and scalable performance testing activities within the organization is the goal.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• At least 5 years of experience planning, designing, programming, configuring and executing performance tests required

• At least 4 years of experience planning and developing test strategies, designing performance test scenarios, and analyzing performance test results

• Experience designing and developing performance, load, stress, scalability, and reliability tests at system, sub-system, and component levels

• Ability to understand systems at multiple layers and functionally decompose systems for performance analysis

• Participate in the continuous improvement of performance testing activities including automation, framework, and methodology improvements

• Knowledge and experience of testing practices as applied to unit, functional, integration, and system level testing activities

• Experience with Functional and Performance testing tools, to include HP ALM Performance Center Edition & LoadRunner, Rational Test Workbench, MS Web Test or similar tools

• Proven programming experience with C, Java, C#, Python, JavaScript or similar languages
