About this role

The Senior Relationship Manager is passionate about maintaining and building long-lasting alliances with key strategic partners that drive growth for the organization. This role will report to the Sr. Director of Strategy.  Additional key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the day-to-day for a portfolio of large strategic partnerships and develop deep subject matter expertise for each relationship.
  • Formulate plans to deepen the strategic alliance in a non-sales capacity while balancing risk and reward
  • Ensure partners deliver on their commitments, track their performance and manage the overall relationship
  • Work in a fast paced, high communication environment where collaboration with the partners, sales, product, finance, leadership and other teams is key to your day-to-day success
  • Own and manage processes related to royalty payments, billing/invoicing, negotiated contracts, and internal partner operations
  • Manage inbound requests from sales and product for special pricing or special use exceptions
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights, understand current business processes, challenges, and opportunities to deliver a great partner experience
  • Identify opportunities to drive operational excellence and manage the implementation of key initiatives
  • Support and manage joint client or joint development opportunities with the partners
  • Produce persuasive, simple and clear story lines, slides and other deliverables relevant to audiences of all levels

What your background looks like

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; internationally recognized MBA strongly preferred
  • High level of comfort with project management, financial analysis, and complex legal principles.
  • The candidate must have a high sense of urgency, be self-motivated, can work under minimal supervision, and can trouble-shoot complex problems and escalate appropriately
  • Must be accustomed to concurrently managing multiple partner relationships and skilled in negotiating business terms and constructing partner agreements
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong drive for results, interpersonal and analytical skills, high attention to detail, a positive attitude and is comfortable navigating cross functional teams. 
  • Advanced knowledge of the financial services industry (credit experience is preferred)
  • Good knowledge of database management concepts and principles
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with experience in customer service or sales
