Description
Mental and Behavioral Health Licensed Therapist - Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
One Part-Time Position. 20 to 29 hours per week.
Monday through Friday, traditional hours.
Hiring Range: $30.14 - $32.85/hr., depending upon education and experience.
This position will remain open until filled.
Minimum Requirements
Required:
• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
• LPC, LCSW, or LMFT
Preferred:
• Professional work experience with Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) populations.
• Professional work experience with children, youth and/or families.
• Reimbursable evidence-based certifications i.e.: Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TFCBT); Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) ; Certified Additions Specialist; Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).

Position Summary
The Mental and Behavioral Health Licensed Therapists provide clinical assessment, individual and family therapy, group counseling, and therapeutic family time; helping people heal by reducing mental health symptoms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provide trauma informed treatment.
2. Develop treatment plans and assist clients in reaching treatment goals.
3. Provide crisis intervention as needed.
4. Assess clients using assessment tools and conduct diagnostic assessments.
5. Coordinate care internally and externally, working collaboratively and constructively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
6. Participate in clinical supervision.
7. Testify in court proceedings if/when subpoenaed.
8. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with supervisor, other programs, referral sources, treatment teams and support staff.
9. Maintain positive relationships with referral sources. Respond with communications in a timely manner.
10. Maintain client charts per professional standards. Submit billing and required documentation by deadlines. Meet productivity and documentation requirements.
11. Participate in ongoing program evaluation to ensure program effectiveness. Provide clinical supervision and mentoring to interns/students as needed.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
1. Must work closely with other Ariel programs.
2. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1. Must have the ability to create a safe space for clients to be able to discuss difficult/sensitive topics.
2. Must have good active listening skills and conflict resolution skills.
3. Must exercise good boundaries with clients.
4. Must represent Ariel well and support the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
5. Clinical knowledge of mental health disorders, diagnoses, addictions, and treatment.
6. Ability to communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams regarding therapeutic goals and progress.
7. Must demonstrate and possess the ability to work collaboratively in teams.
8. Ability to testify in court.
9. Ability to be flexible, adaptable, independent, prioritize workload, able to change direction rapidly and meet deadlines.
10. Basic computer knowledge including: telehealth platforms, Microsoft Office Word, and Excel.
11. Must be available to meet client’s needs.
