Job Title: Electrical and Automation Engineering Manager

Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Salary: $110-130K plus bonus

Job Summary:

Join our leading mobile electrification company as an Electrical and Automation Engineering Manager. This hands-on role involves working with risk management, EHS, engineering, and manufacturing teams to enhance product reliability and process efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and ensure timely completion of controls and automation design tasks.
• Approve technical documentation, including ECOs, design packages, and software.
• Provide leadership and expertise to the Controls and Automation team.
• Support cross-functional projects and R&D activities.
• Design and validate embedded systems, including hardware and software.
• Program microcontrollers and PLCs for robust communications.
• Review and address Corrective Action Reports (CARs).
• Coordinate engineering activities across teams.
• Supervise Electrical, Automation, and Application Engineers.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3-7 years of experience in managing technical staff.
• Knowledge of UL, IEC, FCC standards.
• Expertise in embedded system design and firmware development.
• Proficiency in EPLAN Electric P8, Altium Designer, and Embedded Software in C.
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and Industrial Ethernet communication protocols is a plus.
