Senior Mobile Application Developer ($154,500.00 - $189,900.00)

Position Summary:

The Senior Mobile Application Developer is a crucial role responsible for leading and implementing scalable mobile application solutions. This position demands ownership of robust customer-facing applications that handle complex business requirements and technology constraints. The ideal candidate is passionate about user experience, possesses deep technical expertise, and excels in collaboration to ensure the success of various projects.

 

As a thought leader in this domain, you will work alongside other architects, software engineers, product managers, and QA teams to create bug-free, best-in-class solutions that significantly impact our business. This role requires hands-on development work, as well as leading/coaching other junior-level developers.
 

Job Duties:

• Hands-on development work enhancing React Native and NextJS applications, while maintaining custom backend integrations using Node.js.
• Provide guidance and act as a trusted advisor for technical and design projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and release new features.
• Participate in documenting company applications and custom-built solutions in a clear and concise manner.
• Provide estimates for enhancements and bug fixes.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies that benefit the company.
• Translate customer experiences into well-defined product requirements.
• Align external agencies with project needs and roadmaps.
• Assist in creating and maintaining logically sequenced roadmaps.
   

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

• BS or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on technical experience in developing mobile applications.
• Expertise in React Native/Redux.
• Proficiency in Next.js.
• Experience with GraphQL for efficient data querying and manipulation.
• Working knowledge of TypeScript for enhancing code quality and maintainability.
• Experience writing and maintaining unit, functional, and integration tests.
• Proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of application build processes for iOS/Android.
• Experience writing modern, reusable code (DRY, SOLID, Clean Architecture).
• Proficiency with Git.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Strong grasp of mobile user experience best practices and design principles.
• Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong debugging skills and the ability to collaborate with peers to solve complex problems.
• Awareness of the latest mobile application best practices.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience contributing to and creating roadmaps.
• Understanding of security and governance best practices for large enterprises.
• Strong desire to learn new and complex technologies.

 

Special Experience Desired:

• Experience with native mobile development (Swift/iOS or Android) is a significant plus.
• Experience with Node.js and developing/using custom APIs.
• Design experience, including working with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, etc.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud.
   

 Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $154,500.00 - $189,900.00

 

Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
