Work Environment The role of Physical Therapist will be onsite, delivering care primarily in a home care setting. You will work directly with patients in their homes, allowing you to build strong relationships while providing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s specific needs. This setting not only allows for flexibility in scheduling but also offers unique insights into each patient's daily environment that can inform their care. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their unique health objectives and requirements in home settings. Manage an effective caseload, ensuring the delivery of care to approximately one patient per hour. Implement tailored physical therapy treatments, focusing on enhancing mobility and functionality for clients. Employ your manual therapy skills to deliver effective care, monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary. Engage in collaborative discussions with physicians and other healthcare professionals to devise comprehensive care plans for optimal patient outcomes. Maintain meticulous records, including evaluations, progress notes, treatment plans, and insurance documentation, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Regularly evaluate treatment efficacy, documenting results to inform future care strategies and patient discussions. Patient Population / Client Focus This role involves a diverse patient population with a primary focus on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries and those managing chronic pain conditions. Each patient presents unique challenges, requiring a personalized approach that not only addresses their physical needs but also supports their emotional wellbeing. Your ability to connect with patients on a personal level will be instrumental in their recovery process. Qualifications Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution. A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey. A minimum of 2 years of experience in providing physical therapy services, specifically in home care or outpatient orthopedic settings. A clean professional record with no history of disciplinary actions against your license. Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and other therapeutic modalities. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to independently manage patient care while working collaboratively with a healthcare team. Preferred Experience While not mandatory, experience in working with geriatric populations or in-home care environments will be an asset. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and treatment planning is also preferred. Compensation and Benefits The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging between USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience.
