POSITION SUMMARY
The Manufacturing / Business Excellence leader will be responsible for the implementation of a business lean culture across MRS to simplify and optimize the performance of our business through an effective utilization of our P3 System, coach and mentoring of the leadership staff during daily, weekly and monthly reviews;
This position will deploy the utilization of all lean tools by training and development on all functions, regions and plants, implement an effective Problem Solving system to eliminate existing and recurrent problems, increase production efficiency and customer satisfaction through Continuous Improvement, Process Engineering, Quality and EHS functions.
The role will be a strong support to the business VP/GM and the CI structure will be a key player to support the regional VP/GMs.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education
- Bachelors Degree in Operations, Engineering, or Manufacturing.
- Master’s Degree preferred in Business, Engineering or another related area.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years running multi-site manufacturing operations (Global experience preferred)
- Proven experience working and managing multicultural environments with successful results.
- Experience on safety systems, environmental regulations, and sustainability requirements.
- Business turnaround experience.
- Expertise in the areas of problem-solving techniques at different levels. Skilled in high complexity problem solving skills preferred.
Skills and competencies
- Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement methods, implementation of production systems and tools.
- Customer management improving score cards.
- Solid budgetary analytical skills. Strong knowledge on Gross Margin / EBITDA / P&L reports / Balance Sheets / RONA
- Ability to effectively influence and impact across work groups and at all levels in the organization. (working in a matrix environment)
- Strong communication skills to drive consensus, decision-making and execution.
- Ability to set a vision and lead a cross-functional team.
- Ability to travel over 50% of the time.
