About the role

Job Introduction

Maximus is currently hiring for Quality Analyst Clarifications Specialists to join our Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) team. This is a remote opportunity. The Quality Analyst Clarifications Specialist is responsible for reviewing and processing VA Return addendums, and discussing with QA management. They must promote and maintain a respectful, positive attitude in dealings with employees at all times.

Job Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Receive all VA Return e- mails from the Clarifications Department; - Determine if VA Return will be handled as an addendum or as a new exam request; - Process and enter the VA Return into OMS; - Forward the VA Return to the appropriate Quality Analyst and QA Team Lead; - Ensure that QAs complete the VA Returns in a timely manner; - Confirm that the QA is assigning the appropriate ‘fault’; - Assign appropriate ‘fault’ in OMS; - Review the addendum to ensure that it is correct; - Forward the addendum to the Clarifications Department and QA Training Team; - Properly document each step in the comments section of OMS; and - Track and provide monthly VA Return reports. Additional Duties and Responsibilities: - Answer phone calls from medical providers; - Attend meetings as directed; - Communicate and assist other departments in a collaborative effort to expedite cases; - Work effectively within a team dynamic; - Adapt to new instructions, requests or procedures as provided; - Maintain a high sense of urgency at all times; - Ensure the confidentiality of Veterans’ records; and - Other duties as assigned. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Self- starter; - Intermediate knowledge of pertinent medical terminology; - Advanced verbal and interpersonal skills; - Advanced written communication skills, to include excellent grammar; - Advanced reading and comprehension abilities; - Advanced analytical skills and detail- oriented; - Advanced multi- tasking skills; - Advanced organizational and prioritization skills, with strong ability to meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision; - Proficient typing skills; and - Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, general internet research, and beginner knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

Education and Experience Requirements

Additional Requirement:

  • Must have at least 6 months of experience as a Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) Quality Analyst

 

Home Office Requirements: 

  • Internet speed of 20mbps or higher required (you can test this by going to www.speedtest.net) 
  • Preferred Windows or Mac (no Chromebooks) 
  • OS for Windows – Windows 10 or newer 
  • OS for Mac – Big Sur (11.0.1+); Catalina (10.15); MacOS (up to 12.5) or newer 
  • Connectivity to the internet via either Wi-Fi or Category 5 or 6 ethernet patch cable to the home router 
  • USB plug and play wired headset with a microphone and noise suppression 
  • Private work area and adequate power source 
  • A second monitor is highly recommended for most positions 
  • Must currently and permanently reside in the Continental US
