What You Will Do:

The Columbus Compliance team is looking for a Document Custodian who is energetic and motivated to lead and manage quality system documents, process, and produce positive audit results. The Document Custodian role is a key part of the Audit and Compliance Team within Quality. This role is critical to Pratt’s AS9100 certification.  A document custodian ensures accuracy in all aspects of document revision control and interfaces with all functions across the business. 

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Primary Point of Contact for the Pratt Quality Management System to process revision activity and newly released documents to the organization.
  • Uploading and managing local quality system documents and forms on SharePoint.
  • Uploading and reviewing specifications on SharePoint.
  • Site documentation maintenance and improvement projects.
  • Develop Procedures, Standard Work and Forms, as needed.
  • Provide SharePoint and Document Control training, as needed.
  • SharePoint management of the Quality Homepage, as assigned.
  • Daily Compliance CAR reporting, Leadership status and escalation when needed.
  • Corrective action reporting and site presentation generation for Corrective Action Board
  • Audit readiness review reporting.
  • Monitoring of Eye Exam Compliance.
  • Entering shop audit data in the tracker, as needed
  • Quality Training compliance reporting
  • Supports development of training material and delivery as needed to support Audit and Compliance throughout the organization.
  • Developing or supporting toolbox talk slides.
  • Input Quality Training records, as assigned.
  • AS9100 certification and two audits a year, as assigned.
  • Provide ETQ and CAR support, as needed.

  • Communicate both inside and outside of the organization (i.e., multi-disciplines, customers, regulatory agencies, suppliers, etc.)
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization in both verbal and written formats
  • May require weekend availability as business needs arise
  • Able to travel up to 5% both domestic and internationally, if needed

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • At least 2 years of experience in revision control of documents within Aviation, Space or Defense or other regulated industries
  • An associate’s degree or other 2 year post high school training
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in an organization that operates under certification or regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, or other standards within a highly regulated industry)
  • Microsoft Office Experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • AS9100 or ISO 9001 or similar Auditor Certification
  • Prior Internal Audit experience
  • Experience creating presentations, reporting metrics, and data input/management in Microsoft Office
  • Experience developing procedures, standard work instructions, or training material in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with using Lean or CORE Principles and tools for process improvement and/or corrective action
  • Six Sigma or advanced Lean Certifications
