Collins Aerospace is looking for a Logistics Tech who will be able to provide logistics support in a fast-paced high matrixed environment. You will be supporting the MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) facility. You will ensure that the day-to-day logistics activities such as receiving and shipping customer units, as well as shipping parts, tooling, and other items is accomplished. You will interact with multiple programs, departments, customers, and suppliers.

Position will be working onsite at our Foley AL facility.

Primary Responsibilities

• Coordinates the receiving of customer units
• Ships customer units, parts, tooling and other items as needed with applicable import and export requirements both domestically and internationally
• Plans, schedules and manages all shipments and transportation
• Maintain required paperwork for shipments
• Provide clear, concise, and professional communication to customers and suppliers
• Coordinate loading, unloading, and transportation of units using forklift and crane
• Ensures work area is organized and clean
• Participate in review of transportation carriers when required
• Ensure documentation is clear, accurate, and organized
• Ensure standard work and processes are followed
• Support strategic projects in support of facility and company goals
• Review and present department metrics and supporting reports to suppliers, peers, and leadership
• Able to travel up to 5% domestically and internationally when circumstances require
• Performs other duties as required

Qualifications/ Experience Needed:

• Typically requires a High School Diploma or AA/AS degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a GED or AA/AS degree with 4 years of relevant experience
• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required
• Basic knowledge of receiving and shipping processes
• MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Experience using an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP Experience
• Experience with receiving and shipping processes
• Ability to negotiate, troubleshoot and problem solve
• Ability to work in a team environment and work effectively with all levels of internal and external customers
• Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints
• Self-directed and action-oriented with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, safety vest, and other PPE as needed
• Able to communicate and presenting precise information to internal/external suppliers, customers, and leadership
• Continuous Improvement process experience
• Able read, write, speak & understand the English language
