Clinical Documentation Specialist RN, Kadlec Regional Medical Center - Richland, WA

Under the general direction of the Clinical Resource Management Manager, the Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Specialist coordinates and collaborates extensively with the physicians and coding staff to improve quality and completeness of documentation of care provided; Facilitates modifications to clinical documentation through concurrent (pre-bill) interaction; Captures clinical severity which is later translated into coded data to support the level of service rendered to relevant patient populations; and provides education to physicians and members of the patient care team on an ongoing basis.

Shift Details: 

Full-Time, Day Shift, 0840-8 Hour Daily Overtime 40 Hour Week

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program. 
  • Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License 
  • 5 years   Clinical experience in an acute care facility, which includes broad clinical experience in an inpatient setting or clinical documentation experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree   Nursing and/or Healthcare related field from an accredited educational institution.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
