About the role
We are hiring a Clinical Psychologist to join our team of talented medical professionals to conduct a one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exam in Owensboro, KY.
- Employment Status: Part Time
- Compensation: This is an hourly position, paid bi-weekly.
- Schedule: Part Time, 2-3 days hybrid F2F & TH, 2 days in office requested

Requirements: The Clinical Psychologist must have and meet the following:
- Requirement Qualifications:
• Must be a psychologist or psychiatrist licensed in at least one state in the United States.
• Psychiatrists or Neurologists must be board certified or must have completed a 2-year residency with either specialty
• Psychologists must obtain a PhD or PsyD with a Major in Psychology; Specialty studies must focus on the adult population such as Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology (or a combination of these). Child-focused psychology programs are not acceptable.
• Psychologists must have graduated from a doctorate or post-doctorate APA-accredited program. - Certification: Have an active and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrates compassion and professionalism and a commitment to providing excellent service and care.
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and using EMR and platforms.
• Skilled in professional communication, critical thinking, and informed-care decision-making.
• Works independently and can manage time in order to provide a quality service while meeting set deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience in clinical settings
• Prior VA or C&P experience
Job Summary:
- Review pertinent mental health history documentation and provide one-time, non-treatment behavioral health compensation and pensions exams for Veterans.
- The Clinical Psychologist will capture responses during the exam through a web-based examination form(s); all documentation will be completed electronically. Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
- Common reasons for assessment are PTSD, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders.
