Role Overview:
The Retail Digital Strategy Director (L3) is responsible for driving digital adoption across AT&T’s retail operations and cross-functional teams. Reporting to the Head of Digital Strategy & Transformation, this leader will develop and implement strategies to increase digital engagement in retail channels while optimizing revenue and cost efficiency. This role will play a critical part in leading change management efforts to ensure the smooth transition and adoption of new digital processes and systems across AT&T’s retail footprint. The Retail Digital Strategy Director will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to drive alignment and operational excellence in digital-first retail experiences.
This role is based in Dallas, Texas, requiring in-office presence 5 days/week. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive digital adoption strategy within AT&T’s in-store and online retail touch points to drive engagement and optimize customer experiences.
- Manage revenue and cost targets associated with digital customer adoption in retail environments.
- Lead change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions in digital process implementation and system adoption.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including Retail Operations, Marketing, and Technology teams, to align digital strategy with business objectives.
- Identify key performance metrics and leverage data analytics to track digital adoption trends and optimize performance.
- Partner with store teams to ensure seamless integration of digital tools and platforms into retail operations.
- Advocate for customer-centric digital experiences by ensuring strategies align with evolving consumer behaviors and preferences.
- Provide thought leadership on emerging digital retail trends, helping AT&T maintain a competitive advantage.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in digital strategy, retail transformation, or related roles.
- Strong expertise in digital adoption strategies, change management, and retail operations.
- Experience managing revenue and cost targets within a digital-first retail environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment across business units.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive strategic decisions.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a large, highly matrixed organization.
- Familiarity with emerging digital retail technologies and customer engagement platforms.
- Knowledge of omnichannel retail strategies and best practices.
