About the role

What You'll Do:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Associate Principal to join our Software Engineering team, focusing on DevOps practices. This role is a key technical leadership position, responsible for driving the strategy, design, and implementation of our DevOps infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud engineering, container orchestration, and automation, with a strong background in providing Level 2 technical support and managing enterprise service management platforms like ServiceNow.
 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.

  • Incident Management & Leadership: Lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure incident management policies and best practices.

  • Cloud Engineering: Support and manage applications and services in a hybrid- cloud environment such as AWS.  Ensure optimal performance, cost-efficiency, and security.

  • Container Orchestration: Support Kubernetes clusters for containerized application deployment, scaling, and management.

  • ServiceNow Integration: Configure and integrate DevOps tools and processes with the ServiceNow platform to automate incident management and support other IT service workflows.

  • Technical Support: Serve as a subject matter expert for Level 2 technical issues, troubleshooting complex problems related to software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and application performance.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with software development, deployment, and SRE teams to ensure seamless integration and a shared understanding of operational requirements.

  • Monitoring & Optimization: Implement comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system health and proactively identify and resolve issues.

  • Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Experience providing Level 2 technical support in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Technical Skills:

  • Demonstrable expertise in Cloud Engineering on at least one major platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Proven experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, Kafka, Harness, Vault, Jenkins and Artifactory.

  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, including ITSM, ITOM, and other relevant modules.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in DevOps, Software Engineering, or similar role.
