Job Description:

LSU Department of Oceanography and Coastal Sciences is seeking a postdoctoral researcher with modeling and field expertise in oceanography and geology. The researcher will lead modeling of hydrodynamics, sediment transport, and other coastal and ocean processes. The researcher will conduct research, manage projects, archive data, participate in field trips, and publish peer-reviewed research products.

Job Responsibilities:

50% Modeling and field data collection of hydrodynamics and sediment transport.

25% Peer-reviewed research publications.

20% Project management, data archiving, and communications with PIs, students, and others.

5% Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Oceanography, Geology, Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences, and other related disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with modeling and lab and fieldwork in oceanography and geology
