Accounting and Finance Professional

About the Role (Remote - Opportunity)

We are seeking a dynamic Accounting & Finance professional with 4–8 years of progressive experience to join our fast-paced, private equity-backed organization. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of accounting and finance — balancing the rigors compliance with the insight of strategic analysis.

Critical role in driving financial transparency, operational efficiency, and business growth as we scale and actively pursue acquisitions. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, solution-oriented, and excited to build structure in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Manage and support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Maintain job costing integrity and ensure accurate project-level financial tracking.
• Partner with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve workflow.

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses across departments and entities.
• Support internal and external financial reporting, including Board and investor reports.
• Assist with integration of acquisitions into financial systems and reporting structures.
• Build dynamic Excel models and dashboards to provide insight into business performance.

Systems & Process Innovation

• Identify and implement improvements within ERP and CRM systems; serve as a key liaison between Finance and IT.
• Drive automation and standardization initiatives across finance and accounting functions.
• Participate in system migrations, implementations, and upgrades as needed.

Requirements

• 4–8 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA and/or MBA preferred, but not required.
• Strong knowledge of job costing, budgeting, and financial statement analysis.
• Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, modeling); experience with ERP and CRM systems required.
• Proven ability to design and improve processes in high-growth or complex environments.
• Experience in PE-backed, multi-entity, or M&A-driven businesses is a plus.
• Ability to travel occasionally for acquisitions, audits, or integration efforts.
• Self-starter and fast learner with a collaborative mindset.
