OPS Maintenance Assistant
Classification Minimum Requirements:Completion of ninth grade and one year of relevant experience. Appropriate vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Job Description:Builds, maintains, repairs and places trash/recycling receptacles around campus.
Performs basic preventive maintenance, cleaning, and repair tasks associated with Recycling and Solid Waste Department assets.
Drives state vehicle to remove pallets from locations across campus and drives a forklift to load pallets on a truck. Maintains collection quantities and reports to the Operations Manager.
Assists in the removal of recyclables, solid waste, and other debris, from campus as needed.
This position requires a post-offer health assessment, Valid Class E Driver’s License, will be required to pass a forklift driving test.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday-Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. There may be some flexibility in exact hours based on applicant’s availability.
$17.00 Hourly based on experience
