A Day in the Life
The TMS Sr Logistics Analyst role is a new position in place to grow and build out our TMS deploying a system that facilitates controlling transportation flows and spend by guiding/enforcing transportation heuristics. The position is preferred to be based out of Minneapolis MN and is intended to promote a culture of transportation excellence.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- This role ensures the execution and continuous improvement of logistics processes within the transportation management system by engaging with data interchange systems, demand management queues, baseline freight data, and related functions.
- The TMS controls the flow of raw and finished goods, services, and information between point of origin through receipt at the manufacturing site, through to customer placement in order to meet customer or manufacturing requirements.
- Our team has to ensure the system is setup so that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet marketing and financial objectives.
- Our success is fostered by building relationships with manufacturing, suppliers, and customers through the resolution of system and delivery issues.
- The team works to integrate market intelligence from operating entities, distribution, transportation, suppliers, and customers to continuously improve competitive position.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Nice to Have
- 2 years of TMS experience ideally in Blue Yonder if not other Transportation Management System
- Firm knowledge of transportation cost models for Air, Ocean, LTL, Truckload, Parcel modes of transportation
- Insight of transportation best practices and experience deploying common cost savings initiatives in complex transportation models
