 Position Summary:

The Clinical Business Operations Intern will support the Clinical Business Operations team in various tasks related to clinical trial management, budget development, vendor management, and data analysis. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the operational aspects of clinical trials within a global pharmaceutical organization. The intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Clinical Operations, Finance, and Procurement, to assist in the smooth execution of clinical studies.

Additionally, the Intern will have rotation to learn and explore other areas of Clinical Operations. 

Key Responsibilities:

Data Management & Analysis:

  • Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data related to clinical trial budgets, vendor contracts, and site payments.
  • Support the development of reports and presentations summarizing key findings and trends.

Budget Support:

  • Help in the preparation and review of clinical trial budgets.
  • Assist in tracking and reconciling actual spend against budgeted costs.

 Vendor & Contract Management:

  • Aid in the management of vendor contracts, including tracking deliverables, timelines, and payments.
  • Support communication with vendors to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.

Process Improvement:

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and accuracy in clinical business operations.
  • Provide recommendations for streamlining workflows and improving data accuracy.

 Documentation & Record Keeping:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all clinical business operations activities.
  • Support the documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines.

 Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with various departments to ensure alignment on project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide input on project updates and process enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Strong academic record with relevant coursework in finance, data analysis, or project management.
  • Candidates are required to live within a commutable distance of Princeton, NJ.
  • Interns are required to be able to work from May 27th, 2025 -August 15th, 2025
  • This position requires a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • The ability to work a hybrid schedule is required

Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate insights.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 Experience:

  • Prior internship or work experience in a related field (e.g., pharmaceuticals, healthcare, finance) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with clinical trial processes and terminology is an advantage but not required.
