QC Technician II

We have a Monday through Friday Second Shift opening (2:00PM - 10:30PM, hours may vary), with occasionally weekend hours.

POSITION SUMMARY:   

• Provide key support for the business need for the Sensory Lab. 
• Understands Sensory evaluation and analysis as well as the basic needs of the analytical, physical and micro lab to support the business need. 
• Must provide assurance that all products have been produced, prepared and handled according to the highest possible standards to include all quality/regulatory requirements. 

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze samples using modern analytical instrumentation following accepted laboratory procedures.
• Handle media and sample preparation, along with data analysis.
• Communicate deviations from standards to the Quality Management Team, initiate investigations, and maintain result data

QUALIFICATIONS: 

•  4-year Science Degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Biology or Biochemistry is preferred. 
• Experience with quality laboratory testing equipment, Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CHMP) & Safe Quality Food (SQF) preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. 
• Ability to assist in all aspects of support for the Quality Control laboratory functions as requested by the Quality Management.
